I am proud to have the opportunity to care for the children in my community. Finding the right care for your child should give you a sense of comfort and confidence knowing that your child's well-being and development is the top priority. This site has been designed for parents.
Dawn's Discovery Tree House is a fun loving environment in a country atmosphere, it is a place where kids can discover the world around them. They will play and develop their learning skills through music and movement, outdoor play, art, books and using thier imagination. Putting the child in touch with the environment along with play helps them to make their own choices and will help children grow and learn from their own experiences, this stimulates the foundation of early learning, as well as, children's social and emotional development.
I grew up with my mom helping with her daycare children, running a foster care home and board and care home for developmentally disabled children and adults. I took over the home in 1996 when my mom wanted to retire from taking care of the developmentally disabled. I have successfully ran my home for the developmentally disabled for many years and gained a lot of knowledge and experience. I have also taken many workshops in my field to become a qualified Direct Support Professional. For childcare, I have taken college eduacation in child developement at Palomar College, 3 Infant and Toddler Workshops, Health and Safety class along with Child and Adult CPR - First Aid Classes. I have taken other workshops on Temperment, Art More Than Crayons and Building Partnerships with Families. I continue to take workshops and expand my experiences.
